Come join the Spinoza Havurah for a Farbrengen (spirited discussion session) on the subject of “Getting ready for Hanukkah,” with a special focus on (1) the diversity of Hanukkah traditions, (2) the challenges and opportunities that are present when a Jewish holiday happens in close proximity (or even overlap) with holidays in the broader culture, and (3) what meaning we can find in Hanukkah as Humanistic Jews.
Our discussion will be led by James M. Branum.
